Specials

Throughout the week, you’ll find the specials change on a regular basis.  Every day has a different home-made pie – including favourites such as Steak and Guiness or Steak and Ale.

If you enjoy freshly cooked fish, then ‘Fish Friday’s’ are definitely worth a visit.  Every Friday is ‘Fish Friday’ at Borough Arms.  Dishes vary depending on seasonal availability and what’s fresh that morning.   A typical ‘Fish Friday’ menu would include:

  • Salmon and dill pate, served toasted bread.
  • Locally-sourced pan fried scallops, natural breadcrumbs and parmesan.
  • King Prawns sautéed in a garlic butter, served with crusty bread.
  • Seafood linguine, mussels, prawns, squid and clams, in a creamy white wine sauce, served with garlic ciabatta.
  • Sea bass fillet, Mediterranean veg and garlic roasted new potatoes, pesto sauce.
  • Borough Arms smugglers pie: salmon, cod and prawns in creamy dill and leek sauce, topped with creamed potatoes and cheddar cheese. Served with seasonal veg.

Sundays at Borough Arms are particularly busy.  Every Sunday, our team prepare a range of mouthwatering Sunday lunches – which includes a selection of:

  • Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding
  • Belly pork and sausage meat stuffing
  • Roast turkey and sausage meat stuffing and bread sauce
  • Home made steak and Guinness pie
  • Liver and bacon
  • Lamb shank, with  mint and redcurrant sauce

All served with roast and new potatoes, four types of  fresh seasonal veg and roasted parsnips.
